Off the page with Prima- DT project by Nanné

Hellooooo fellow scrappers..
Living in Finland my kids love to celebrate all of the holidays we have here along with all of the holidays that are  American, that we also celebrate here..
Well, today is the eve of Mayday.. Which means all of the younger generation get all dressed up in funny hats, masks and costumes and go strutting their stuff in our capital Helsinki.. they eat donuts, funnel cakes and drink a soda called "Sima".. which I actually make myself..
so, this year my daughter went out and bought a simple little white hat with a veil and a mask.. She then asked me to help her PIMP them up as she put it..LOL
We went through some our my Prima goodies that I had gotten from Kristina over at Your Memories Here and the fabric flowers were perfect along with the fabric leaves.. She also used some Prima gems and a trinket by Bo Bunny.

Here are the finished projects:

She also grabbed some wide red ribbon from my stash and made a beautiful trim with it.. adding the gems, trinket, flower and the feathers to it..

Here is the mask..

She added some red stickles to accent the image on the mask and then added the red Prima fabric leaves behind a big black flower that was already on the mask..

I appologize for the photos, I took them with my iphone since my batteries were dead in my camera.. oopsy on my part..LOL It happens...

I want to thank you all so much for stopping today and checking out our project for Your Memories Here and remember, these flowers aren't just for pages, but off of them as well..

Here is my card:

I stamped few images on the card that came in a stamp set which of course came in the collection.

Born to Create- DT project

Wow!! Monday already?..LOL
As many of you know, I don't usually scrap about myself.  But when I rummaged through my Prima papers that Kristina had sent, I found the North Country 6x6 stack and decided to pick my brain a little and I wanted to think outside of the box.. Yes, they are winter papers, but I decided to make a layout that wasn't so "winter" themed, just to show you how versatile some of these stacks really are..
I printed a photo of myself and since I love the color of Olive Green, it made putting together this bad boy super fun and easy..
This layout measures 12x12, but cutting up some of the smaller papers didn't leave me with many scraps to throw away..

So, Here is my layout:

and for a few close ups:
Lots of colors...
which is so out of my comfort zone  LOL

Me with dark hair..LOL I prefer blonde

The corners I stamped a corner flourish using the North Country Stamp set.. I didn't use an ink pad, but brown paint from Rangers paint dabbers instead.. adding drops of white liquid pearl for accent..

the flowers are mostly all Prima's with a few exceptions that I found in my stash.. I don't normally add so many different colors, but with this layout I just couldn't help myself..LOL

and for the supplies used:

Other supplies used:
Martha Stewart around the page punch and butterfly punch, white liquid pearls, bakers twine and computer generated journaling..
All right then fellow scrappers.. That's my Monday post for this week.. I want to thank you all so much for stopping by today and checking out my layout.. do stop by Your Memories Here and check out the awesome selection of Prima goodies Kristina has to offer..

Journal with Prima- YMH dt project

Happy Monday everyone.. Easter came and went, which can only mean were one step closer to summer.. and being another Monday, I get to share a little project with you that I created as my design team project for Your Memories Here.
I ordered some Prima goodies a few months back and I've been busy creating all kinds of projects with them and the paper stack is still loaded even though I've made lots of stuff with it.. I decided to create a journaling book of sorts, which measures 5" x 7".. I added lots of black cardstock pages, which are covered with the papers from the Prima Printery collection.. I thought to make something for myself that I can write in all about my daily routines..
and then with the left overs, I made a mini journaling book.. it measures about 3" x 5".. I also put my bind-it-all to good use, which has been collecting dust on the shelf..LOL
Here are my projects:

For the front cover of the bigger book, I added some black lace and made a rosette with it.. adding a Prima Vintage Trinket to the center.. I also had these beautiful medium size and miniature Prima roses that came in my goody bag and the bling, can't forget about the bling..
On the smaller one, since I wanted to keep in my purse, I didn't want to embellish the covers with anything that would eventually tear off.. I instead used some glossy accents and went over the title, the clock and the little flourish design, giving it a nice effect..

so, the supplies I used to create this product that can be found at Your Memories Here are:
Prima Papers ( I used the Prima Printery collection, but anything would look just as amazing)

Alrighty then fellow scrappers.. That's my Monday project for this week.. Do stop by Your Memories Here and check Kristina's amazing selection of goodies.. I have a package on the way and I'm on pins and needles till it gets here :)
Plus, there are some seats still available for the Sweet Retreat in Philladelphia..Just click HERE for more information.

Hope everyone has a scrap-tastic week..

Spring Is In The Air die cut challenge..

I had a lot of fun using up some of my Echo Park papers for this challenge.. I also used a few Cricut cartridges and made my own flowers..
the photo is from my moms wedding last May.. We had a real nice time!!

I also have a few close ups I'd like to share with you:

The hat I cut from the Kate's ABC's cartridge the title SPRING was cut from Stretch Your Imagination cartridge.. I think it turned out so cute!!

The fence is from My Community, the birdhouse and flourish are from Cindy Loo, the flowers and leaves I cut from Mother's Day Bouquet.  Added some white liquid pearl here and there for some detailing..LOL

and the pretty little kitty from the Cindy Loo cartridge..Been dying to use that die cut..

I heart glimmer mist- DT project for YMH

Have you tried Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists yet?..
Oh, I have and I absolutely love the stuff.. I got in the creative mood yesterday and wanted to think outside of the box a bit..and so here is my layout I created:

I used these amazing embossed papers by: SEI Windsor collection but I didn't have flowers to coordinate with the layout.. What to do, what to do?..LOL
I decided to grab some of my older Prima flowers, some green leaves,  Tattered angels Glimmer Mist and some Ranger paint dabbers in gold..
I wanted to make my own flower vine..so, grabbed some wire, green plant tape, the green leaves, some of the roses I found in my stash and glimmer mist (in Suade and coffee Shop).. wrapped the tape around the wire and then glimmer misted it, which gave it a nice brownish glow.. I adhered it to the layout using the wire, by punching a few small holes into the layout and wrapping the wire through..
then grabbed some of my older Prima flowers which I then attached those to the vine, by gluing them onto the layout, then the roses and finally adding some final finishing touches with gold paint..

Here are some close ups:
You can see here that I brushed gold paint on EVERYTHING..LOL
all the brown flowers and leaves have been Glimmer Misted.. The flowers were all originally white and the leaves were green..
Added some tiny white roses in the middles of some of the flowers.. painted them with gold paint..

As for my title..
I found some over sized chipboard letters in my stash, that I've had FOREVER and never really knew what to do with them.. I painted them gold with the Ranger dabbers.. then rubbed a little black paint here and there.. added some gold and brown ribbon and finally a cute little charm I hand made..

a close up of the hubby..LOL and some of the roses..

I am so happy how this layout turned out, not too feminine even though its covered with flowers.. I love the fact that I can take a flower of one color and make the color I need and all I have to have is some glimmer mist in my stash, which I really need to stock up on...

All right then fellow crafters.. That's my Monday post and I hope you like it as much as I do..
I want to thank you all so much stopping by today and checking out my Monday project for Your Memories Here..
oh and before I forget.. There are some spots left at Sweet Retreat in Pittsburgh..I'd go, but that's a long trip for me and my boss wouldn't be too happy with me skipping out on work..LOL
Hope everyone has a fantastically Scrappy week..
